Q - How do I know if I have a rat or mouse problem?
A - The most common signs that you have a rat or mice problem are that you will see their feces scattered about in floors, cupboards, and other surfaces. Rat feces are approximately the size of an elongated pea and Mice feces are approximately the size of a grain of rice. Also, you may see their burrows near house foundations or in the landscaping around a building.

There are two kinds of rats in the Lower Mainland; the roof rat and the Norway rat.
Rats are largely nocturnal (active at night), very athletic, and breed very quickly.
Rats will eat almost anything, vegetables, meat, fruit and anything edible.

Mice like the same kinds of foods that humans do.
They are prolific breeders, who live between 15 to 18 months.
Mice can squeeze through an opening ΒΌ inch wide.
